Breaking News: Georgia set to host Another commit with New visit date announced
Georgia football is actively pursuing local quarterback prospect Julian Lewis, who recently moved up from the 2026 class to the 2025 recruitment cycle. Despite committing to USC in August, Lewis is arranging visits to various schools, including Georgia, Colorado, and Auburn, as reported by On3’s Chad Simmons. The highly-rated five-star quarterback, previously the top recruit in the 2026 class, is now ranked as the second-best quarterback, the third-best player in Georgia, and the ninth-best overall player in the 247Sports composite.
Standing at 6 feet, 1 inch, and weighing 185 pounds, Lewis, representing Carrollton High School in Georgia, earned the title of Georgia’s Gatorade Player of the Year in 2023. During that season, he led Carrollton to an 11-2 record and a quarterfinals appearance in the 7A division. Lewis showcased impressive stats, completing 66.4% of his passes (186-of-280) for 3,094 yards, with an impressive 48 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
Scheduled for visits with Auburn on January 20 and Colorado with Deion Sanders on January 27, Lewis has earmarked his final visit for the Georgia Bulldogs on February 3. The Bulldogs have a compelling case for Lewis, given his strong ties to the state and the potential coaching changes at USC, where quarterbacks coach Kliff Kingsbury is reportedly exploring opportunities with the Chicago Bears as their offensive coordinator.
Here’s a look at Lewis’ record-breaking playoff performance for 2023:
Julian Lewis stands out as one of the most exceptional high school quarterbacks in recent Georgia football history.
