Green Bay Packers: Jonathan Owens Gets Real on Proving Himself as NFL Starter After Big Year.

Similar to Jonathan Owens, the Green Bay Packers have had an impressive season. With Aaron Rodgers now playing for the New York Jets, the rise of Jordan Love as the team’s quarterback has proven to be a positive development.

Regrettably, the Packers fell short in the final minutes of last Saturday night’s game. Despite controlling most of the match, several mistakes were made that ultimately cost Green Bay the victory. Notably, Anders Carlson’s missed kick allowed the 49ers to capitalize and secure a touchdown. Although Love had an opportunity to secure the win, a wayward pass resulted in the Packers’ elimination from the playoffs.

Speaking to the media post-game, Owens reflected on his role as one of the Packers’ starters this season and expressed his aspirations of establishing himself as a proven starting safety in the NFL. He emphasized seizing the opportunity presented to him this year and not looking back. Owens aimed to showcase his consistency and reliability for both the coaching staff and special teams.

“I believe I have. I got the opportunity this year and didn’t look back. That’s all I wanted to do. Show how consistent I can be and how reliable I can be for the coaches and also special teams-wise as well. I pride myself on being able to do both. So regardless of whatever my role is, I’m going to continue to maximize it,” Owens stated, as reported by Packers.com.

Currently, Owens is looking forward to taking a break after an outstanding season with the Packers. Additionally, he plans to support his wife, Simone Biles, as she prepares for the 2024 Olympics. Looking ahead, Owens’ upcoming campaign later this year warrants increased attention when the new season kicks off.
