Breaking News: Bills Confirms the Departure of Another Key Man
In a bid to enhance the level of experience among their staff, the Seattle Seahawks seem poised to bring on board a former NFL head coach. According to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Friday afternoon, the Seahawks are set to appoint Leslie Frazier, the former defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills, as their assistant head coach.
Leslie Frazier, aged 64, took a hiatus from coaching in 2023 following a six-year tenure leading the Bills’ defense. Throughout his time with the Bills, the team achieved top-five rankings in both scoring and total defense on three occasions. This move comes after the Seahawks, who parted ways with longtime coach Pete Carroll on January 10, recently appointed Mike Macdonald as their new head coach on Wednesday.

Besides his extensive experience as the defensive coordinator for four different teams, Leslie Frazier also held the position of head coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 2010 to 2013. During his coaching career, he amassed a record of 21–32–1, guiding the Vikings to the playoffs in 2012, although they were ultimately defeated by the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.
With the exception of the year he took off, Frazier, a former Chicago Bears defensive back, has been actively involved in NFL coaching roles every season since 1999.
