BREAKING NEWS: Georgia Releases Statement Following Resignations of Two Staff Members
Two members of the Georgia Bulldogs coaching staff have decided to leave their positions. The latest update regarding the Georgia Bulldogs staff confirms the departure of special teams coordinator Scott Cochran and offensive analyst Darrell Dickey.
The University of Georgia released a statement announcing the resignations. As a result, Kirk Benedict, previously a special teams analyst, will step up to become the special teams coordinator for the upcoming 2024 season. However, a replacement for Dickey has not yet been named.
Dickey had joined the Bulldogs staff for the 2023 season, while Cochran had been with the team since 2020, having previously worked with head coach Kirby Smart during their time at Alabama. Smart expressed gratitude for their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Despite these changes, the core elements of the Bulldogs’ roster and coaching staff for 2024 remain largely unchanged. However, the departure of Cochran and Dickey, with their wealth of experience and knowledge, may be felt during the course of the Bulldogs’ upcoming season.
