BREAKING NEWS: LSU’S STAR REFLECTS ON OUTGROWING THE COLLEGE ATMOSPHERE, OPENS UP ABOUT FAME AND NIL SUCCESS
LSU’s Angel Reese graces her fourth magazine cover, sharing insights into her life beyond the basketball court. Adorned in an elegant all-white ensemble and sporting a fresh look with white sneakers, Reese captivates on the front of Women’s Health.
In a revealing interview, the basketball sensation discloses how she materialized her aspirations through a vision board she created in early 2023. Setting her sights on a modeling career and six-figure earnings, Reese manifested these dreams into reality.
Reflecting on her journey, Reese expressed, “I had lofty ambitions, and I manifested many wonderful things.” Her presence also shone on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in May, where she foresaw her financial success. Today, her name, image, and likeness are valued at approximately $1.7 million, with The Sporting News recognizing her and Iowa guard Caitlin Clark as Athletes of the Year — a first for women since Jackie Joyner-Kersee in 1988.

Reese’s leadership led LSU’s women’s basketball team to a resounding 102-85 victory in the NCAA national title game against Iowa State. Garnering accolades such as NCAA’s Most Outstanding Player at the Women’s Final Four, she ranked second in the nation in rebounding and fifth in scoring, boasting an NCAA record of 34 double-doubles in a single season.
In December, Reese returned to the court after a hiatus, prioritizing her mental well-being. “My mental health takes precedence over everything else. I need to ensure I’m okay before anything else, as I don’t want to create any negative impact,” Reese emphasized.

Despite her prominence, Reese wants fans to recognize her humanity and the importance of taking breaks. “I’m not just an athlete; I’m a human being. We all face challenges,” she asserts.
Unwavering in her pursuit of goals, Reese acknowledges that her ambitions for 2024 exceed conventional canvases. “I need a bigger platform,” she declares.
As she scales new heights in her career, Reese acknowledges the responsibilities of adulthood amid fame and scrutiny. “I may be young, but I’m living an adult life,” she remarks, feeling she has outgrown the college atmosphere.
Reese’s exceptional performance continues to benefit the Tigers, with an average of 19.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Her stellar contributions earned her ten SEC Player of the Week awards in her second season with LSU.
Considering her success both on and off the court, Reese deliberates whether to enter the WNBA draft, aspiring to be a top-five pick, or to utilize another season of eligibility at LSU.
