5 Bills contracts void today. How much dead money will Buffalo have on books for 2024?
Today marks the expiration of contracts for five Buffalo Bills players, namely:
1. Safety Micah Hyde
2. Defensive End Leonard Floyd
3. Defensive Tackle DaQuan Jones
4. Defensive Tackle Tim Settle
5. Linebacker Tyler Matakevich
Although these players cannot sign with any team until the start of free agency in March, their contracts contain void dates that trigger today. Additionally, upon voiding, each player’s contract will result in dead money on the Bills’ books for the 2024 season.

Among these players, Leonard Floyd leaves behind the largest dead money amounting to $4,376,250, followed by Micah Hyde with $3,408,000. DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle, and Tyler Matakevich will contribute to the dead money with amounts under two million dollars each: $1,833,334, $1,350,000, and $667,500, respectively.
Interestingly, the Ravens managed to avoid $1,668,000 in dead money by securing an extension with Nelson Agholor a few days ago.
