Reports strongly suggest that Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu is set to return to Korea, signing a lucrative deal with the Hanwha Eagles.

Yonhap News initially reported the news based on Korean media sources, indicating Ryu’s imminent move to the Eagles.

Ryu began his professional career with the Eagles from 2006 to 2012 before embarking on stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and subsequently the Toronto Blue Jays for four seasons.

The reported terms of Ryu’s contract with the Eagles indicate a significant deal valued at $12.7 million over four years.
