Zack Gelof Is The Breath Of Fresh Air The Oakland A's Sorely Needed

Second baseman Zack Gelof praised his experience at the Coliseum, stating that he had positive impressions from last year’s games there, particularly enjoying the atmosphere despite some negativity directed towards the team’s ownership.

Veteran player Ross Stripling, drawing from his experience with the Blue Jays during the Covid season, emphasized the importance of playing in a major league ballpark, noting the disparity in amenities and atmosphere compared to minor league stadiums.

While some younger players might prioritize a shot at the major league roster over the venue, veterans like Stripling likely prefer the amenities of a major league stadium. However, the Athletics have yet to reach an agreement to extend their lease at the Coliseum, though discussions with Oakland and Alameda County are ongoing.
