According to Mark Douglas at the i, Newcastle United is considering loaning out both Yankuba Minteh and Lewis Hall this upcoming summer, while intensifying their search for promising young talents worldwide.

Minteh, who had a successful stint at Feyenoord, will be given an opportunity to showcase his abilities during pre-season. However, the ‘most likely’ scenario is another loan spell, with Feyenoord expressing interest in retaining him and several Championship clubs eager to secure his services.

On the other hand, 19-year-old Hall is viewed as a ‘long-term project.’ His current loan arrangement appears poised to transition into a permanent £28m transfer this summer. Given his limited playing time in the Premier League this season, a loan move during the summer is being considered if he fails to earn a spot in Howe’s immediate plans during pre-season.

In terms of incoming transfers, Douglas reveals that Newcastle has devised a ‘multi-million pound plan’ to invest in promising emerging talents. They believe that acquiring talents like Minteh, who was signed for £6m from Odense last summer, could lead to significant cost savings for the club in the long run.

Newcastle’s scouting network has recently expanded its operations in Brazil and Germany, observing numerous young prospects. The club aims not only to enhance its global scouting efforts but also to allocate a larger budget towards securing the next generation of promising talents.
