This weekend, the Tigers will welcome numerous highly sought-after recruits for the 2025 and 2026 seasons as they start arriving in Baton Rouge.
Over the past few weeks, the LSU football staff has dedicated significant effort to prepare for the arrival of these visitors.
Under the leadership of Brian Kelly and his team, LSU has organized another impressive Junior Day event, bringing in a group of recruits that includes several five-star prospects.
Prospective players will start arriving in Baton Rouge on Friday to participate in Saturday’s event, giving them the opportunity to observe a spring football practice and experience the program firsthand.
Among the notable visitors are five-star prospects Bryce Underwood, Dakorien Moore, and Harlem Berry, along with DJ Pickett and Caleb Cunningham, who are also highly regarded recruits making the trip to Louisiana.

DJ Pickett: No. 1 Cornerback in America
The top-ranked safety for the 2025 recruiting cycle recently visited LSU to experience the atmosphere of Death Valley. Impressed by what he saw in his first trip, Pickett has decided to make a return visit on March 8.
Corey Raymond, LSU’s defensive backs coach, is eager to host Pickett once again, hoping to further solidify their relationship and interest in the program.
Pickett, whose recruiting stock has risen significantly in recent months, has narrowed down his focus to LSU, Georgia, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and Oregon.
He has scheduled unofficial visits for the spring, with LSU being his first stop.
There’s a lot of excitement surrounding Pickett’s initial visit to the South last month.
Corey Raymond Leading the Charge
Despite having been on staff for just over a month, Corey Raymond is already proving his effectiveness on the recruiting front.
During his previous tenure at LSU spanning from 2012 to 2021, Raymond coached seven players who achieved first-team All-America status and had four first-round NFL Draft picks. He also developed five players who were selected in the second round of the NFL Draft and coached the 2019 Jim Thorpe Award recipient, Grant Delpit.
A former standout defensive back for the Tigers himself, Raymond enjoyed a six-season career in the NFL before transitioning into coaching.
Upon his hiring, LSU head coach Brian Kelly highlighted Raymond’s deep connection to LSU and his aspiration to build the best defensive back unit in the nation. Kelly praised Raymond’s extensive knowledge, experience, and recruiting prowess, citing him as a valuable addition to the already strong defensive coaching staff.
Now, Raymond has wasted no time in making an impact. He recently had the opportunity to host the top-ranked defensive back in the country, DJ Pickett, for a significant unofficial visit to Baton Rouge.
Pickett had maintained contact with Raymond during the latter’s time with the Florida Gators. However, Raymond’s return to LSU has evidently strengthened their connection and influenced Pickett’s perception of the program.
Raymond’s influence on LSU’s recruiting efforts is already evident. The Tigers recently secured a commitment from Jaboree Antoine, ranked as the seventh-best cornerback in the nation, as part of their efforts to bolster their secondary.
Keylan Moses and Other Tigers Drop In
During his visit last month, LSU pulled out all the stops, welcoming members of the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class to meet with Pickett.
Leading the charge in recruiting efforts for the 2025 class is four-star linebacker Keylan Moses, who ensured he connected with Pickett before the latter’s departure. Sources from LSU Country report that the two engaged in a photoshoot, discussed future plans, and more during their interaction.
In addition to Moses, 2024 signees DaShawn McBryde and Joel Rogers also made an appearance during Pickett’s visit. The trio of safeties posed for photos together, while McBryde and Rogers took the opportunity to pitch their perspectives to Pickett.

Bryce Underwood: No. 1 Quarterback in America
In January, the LSU football staff made waves nationwide by securing a commitment from the top-ranked player in the country, Bryce Underwood. This marked the beginning of an impressive recruitment drive for the 2025 class, with Underwood as its centerpiece.
Despite Underwood’s commitment, the LSU coaching staff has remained proactive in pursuing him, making two trips to Michigan since his pledge to LSU was announced. Now, they’ve succeeded in arranging for Underwood, the top-ranked quarterback in the nation, to return to campus for another visit.
