BREAKING NEWS: Bills add new Josh Allen weapon in former Falcons, Raiders wide receiver
The Bills have made a move to acquire Mack Hollins with the aim of broadening Josh Allen’s passing options. In their efforts to bolster the team following a disappointing playoff defeat last season, the Bills have been primarily focused on losses rather than gains. However, that changed recently as they secured Hollins, providing Allen with a new target for the upcoming season.
With Gabe Davis departing for the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, the Bills recognized the need to address the wide receiver position. Though not the most flashy acquisition, Buffalo has signed Hollins to a one-year, $3 million deal to bolster their receiving corps for the 2024 season.
Update: Expected one-year deal worth up to $3M for Hollins, a core special teamer who has 75 catches for 941 yards over the last two years. https://t.co/0rTyueVytP

Hollins had a standout season in 2022 with the Las Vegas Raiders but saw a decrease in production while with the Atlanta Falcons in 2023. The hope is that with a high-caliber quarterback like Allen, Hollins can establish a complementary role in the offense and also contribute on special teams.
While the Bills may seek further upgrades before the start of the 2024 season, Hollins has demonstrated productivity in suitable circumstances before. With the relatively low risk of a $3 million deal, Buffalo is banking on Hollins to perform well with Allen as his quarterback. Observers will be keen to see if he can step up and deliver for his new team in 2024.
