BREARKING: “£50k-per-week” – Pundit issues QPR warning over potential Newcastle United deal
Queens Park Rangers (QPR) may have the opportunity to secure a permanent deal for Isaac Hayden this summer, following a recent development at Newcastle United.
Newcastle United are looking to offload Isaac Hayden in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle United is eager to offload midfielder Isaac Hayden to alleviate his wages from their books. The 28-year-old is currently on loan at QPR, where he has become a key player under Martí Cifuentes since joining in January. Hayden has featured in eight matches since his arrival, six of which he started, contributing to QPR’s climb out of the relegation zone in the Championship. However, with two years remaining on his Newcastle contract, the Premier League club may need to negotiate a reduced transfer fee to facilitate a deal, especially considering QPR might find his reported £50,000 per week salary a potential obstacle in securing a permanent agreement.
Carlton Palmer issues QPR warning over Isaac Hayden transfer
Carlton Palmer suggests that securing Hayden on a permanent deal this summer would be a logical move given his impressive performance since joining in January. However, he cautions against excessive spending, even if the club needs to enhance the squad’s quality for the upcoming season.
“Isaac Hayden, currently on loan at QPR from Newcastle, has excelled in the latter part of the season,” Palmer informed Football League World. “QPR’s recent climb out of the relegation zone owes much to his contribution.”
“Newcastle has indicated their willingness to part ways with him in the summer to trim their wage bill. While QPR would ideally retain him, his reported £50k-per-week salary poses a significant obstacle, even if he becomes available on a free transfer.”
