BREAKING: Newcastle United man drops major hint over St James’ Park summer transfer exit
The ex-Liverpool goalie has had minimal involvement with Newcastle United. Loris Karius is preparing to depart Newcastle United in the upcoming summer, having enlisted a new representative with the aim of securing a transfer to Italy.
Since joining the Magpies in September 2022 without a fee, he has only made two appearances: in the Carabao Cup final defeat against Manchester United last year and a recent 4-1 loss to Arsenal. Karius’s contract concludes at the end of the season, and he’s eyeing a move to Italy, where his partner, football presenter Diletta Leotta, and child reside. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, Karius expressed interest in Serie A but emphasized it’s too early to discuss specifics about his future.
He mentioned his desire to reclaim a starting position, citing his quality and past performances. Despite facing challenges with limited playing time due to Newcastle’s established goalkeepers, Karius is determined to play more and remains focused on training diligently. He acknowledges the mental fortitude required for goalkeeping and the solitary nature of the position. Karius, who has engaged Circum agency, led by former Juventus player Claudio Marchisio and Alessandro Tocci, has been relegated to third choice behind Nick Pope and Martin Dubravka at Newcastle.
