BREAKING NEWS: Oakland A’s donate $200K to support Nevada recreational youth sports
The Oakland Athletics have offered a $200,000 donation to aid in the development of youth recreational sports across Nevada. During the recent Big League Weekend in Las Vegas, the team presented a check to benefit over 70 leagues throughout the state.
These funds will be allocated to assist youth teams in Nevada Little League Districts 1-4, Nevada Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Leagues, and various softball associations, specifically for field maintenance, team equipment, and related necessities, as stated by the A’s.
Expressing their commitment to supporting youth baseball and softball, education, and community involvement, team president Dave Kaval stated in a press release, “We are enthusiastic about further engaging with the Nevada community and expanding our contributions.” It’s worth noting that the A’s are currently in the process of relocating to Las Vegas in preparation for the 2028 Major League Baseball season.
