LATEST UPDATE: Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs have five-star recruiting day for Saturday’s spring practice
The Georgia Bulldogs’ recruiting efforts continue to receive high praise from top prospects in Athens. Kirby Smart and his coaching staff orchestrated an exciting day on campus, hosting a group of highly sought-after recruits for a spring practice session.
Among the attendees were five-star prospects, Top247 recruits, and coveted players from both the 2025 and 2026 recruiting cycles. The Bulldogs’ program is poised to have a strong chance of securing commitments from several of these standout players.
The group of prospects included the top three uncommitted five-star recruits from the state of Georgia, namely 247Sports’ top-ranked defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, top-ranked linebacker Zayden Walker, and second-ranked offensive tackle Josh Petty. Georgia is the leading contender, according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions, for Griffin, who is also considering offers from Clemson, Miami, South Carolina, and USC, among others.
Walker is closely considering offers from Georgia, Miami, South Carolina, and other programs. Petty’s recruitment remains open, with several schools vying for his commitment, including Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee, Stanford, Georgia Tech, and Florida State.
