BREAKING NEWS: Bills GM Brandon Beane to throw Bisons Opening Day Ceremonial First Pitch

The Buffalo Bisons are excited to announce that Brandon Beane, General Manager of the Buffalo Bills, will be throwing the Ceremonial First Pitch at Sahlen Field on Opening Day, March 29, at 2:05 p.m., marking the official start of the baseball season in Buffalo!

On Opening Day, the Bisons will face off against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, kicking off a three-game homestand at Sahlen Field. The first pitch on March 29 is set for 2:05 p.m. Beane, who has been the Bills GM since 2017, has been instrumental in building a roster that has led Buffalo to the playoffs in six of the last seven years, clinching four consecutive AFC East Division Titles. Following the team’s first division title under Beane in 2020, he was honored with NFL Executive of the Year accolades from the Sporting News, PFWA, and Pro Football Focus.

The Bisons’ Opening Day festivities at Sahlen Field on March 29 will feature a giveaway of 2024 Magnetic Schedules (3,000) and Ice Scrapers (2,000) at the Inspire Dental Gate on Swan St., courtesy of Sahlen’s. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m.

Additionally, the team will be at home for ‘Opening Weekend’ on Saturday, March 30 (1:05 p.m.) and Sunday, March 31 (1:05 p.m.), where ‘Kids Cheer Free.’ For both games, children aged 14 or younger can receive a complimentary ticket at the Sahlen Field Box Office with the purchase of an adult ticket. Both Opening Weekend games will also feature a pre-game Mascot Meet n’ Greet and an in-game Easter Egg Hunt.
