BREAKING: Georgia Bulldogs Land Massive Commitment From Highly-Touted QB
The Georgia Bulldogs, guided by head coach Kirby Smart, continue to excel in recruiting. Despite changes in college football dynamics, Smart consistently secures and retains top-tier talent for the team. As many SEC teams undergo offseason transformations, Smart remains at the helm of the Bulldogs for his ninth straight season. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs have achieved remarkable success, including two national championships, by consistently winning and attracting top recruits to Georgia’s football program.
In 2024, Smart and the Bulldogs secured the top-ranked recruiting class as per 247Sports. However, in the Class of 2025, Georgia currently holds the No. 8 spot with only five commitments. Yet, staying true to their style, Smart and his team made a significant move by securing a commitment from one of the premier quarterbacks in the 2026 class this past Saturday.

Standing at approximately 6-foot-3 and weighing around 215 pounds as a ninth-grader, he boasts a promising physique. Initially starting his football journey as a running back, Curtis transitioned to the quarterback position and quickly excelled. His freshman year saw remarkable success, earning him runner-up honors for Mr. Football in Tennessee. Throughout the season, he led his team to ten victories and amassed over 2,750 yards of offense.
As per the scouting report from 247 Sports, Jared Curtis exhibits confidence in launching deep passes and demonstrates proficiency in connecting on vertical shots. He excels particularly in hitting timing-based breaking routes over the middle. While not typically categorized as a true dual-threat talent, he is capable of extending plays with his legs and improvising when under pressure. His camp footage showcases a blend of both velocity and finesse in his throws. However, there’s a need for further development in reading complex defenses at the next level, although he already stands out as one of the top quarterbacks early in the 2026 cycle. With his well-rounded skill set, he is likely to thrive in various offensive systems, making him an ideal fit for the Georgia Bulldogs, who boast a competitive quarterback roster and aim to maintain their dominance in the SEC.
In 2023, Jared Curtis led Nashville Christian to the semifinals of Tennessee’s Division II-A playoffs, achieving a 6-7 record. He completed 180 out of 321 pass attempts (56.1%) for 2,522 yards, tallying 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Additionally, he contributed 543 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
