Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos is poised to attract attention during the upcoming summer transfer window. Currently occupying the third-choice position behind Matz Sels and Matt Turner, his prospects at the City Ground seem limited.

Vlachodimos appeared to be a promising acquisition when he joined Forest from Benfica last summer. With a strong background in European football, including stints in the Champions League and Europa League, he brought valuable experience to the team.

However, Vlachodimos faced disappointment on the international stage recently. Despite his efforts, Greece failed to secure a spot in Euro 2024, losing to Georgia in a penalty shootout.

Upon his return to Forest, it appears likely that Vlachodimos will continue to find himself on the sidelines for the remainder of the season. With only seven appearances across all competitions so far, his future in England appears uncertain and potentially bleak.

Bundesliga club think Forest player Vlachodimos is too expensive

A Bundesliga club, specifically VfB Stuttgart, is reportedly considering Nottingham Forest player Vlachodimos for their goalkeeper position in the upcoming transfer window. However, the 29-year-old’s current price tag is deemed too high for them to pursue.

According to reliable transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg, Stuttgart holds an interest in Vlachodimos. Nevertheless, his overall cost is perceived as prohibitive at the moment.

Vlachodimos was reportedly signed by Forest for approximately £7 million last summer. Consequently, despite his limited playing time, Forest is likely to seek a substantial portion of that fee if they were to consider letting him go.
