The Buffalo Bills are facing a significant issue that has been looming since the start of the 2023 season, and it’s uncertain how it will ultimately be resolved.

There’s been considerable speculation surrounding star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who seems discontented with his situation in Buffalo and reportedly considering a departure, despite playing alongside one of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks and consistently ranking among the league leaders in targets. It’s worth noting that he has helped the Bills secure the AFC East title in each of his four seasons with the team.

However, Diggs’ performance dipped last season, recording his lowest yardage total since joining the Bills, with only 1,183 yards. After Week 6, he failed to surpass 90 yards in a game, and there were instances where he appeared out of sync with his quarterback, Josh Allen.

Former NFL star and current analyst Robert Griffin III, on his show “RG3 And The Ones,” argued that Diggs should remain in Buffalo, emphasizing the synergy between him and Allen and asserting that their championship window remains wide open. With the departure of Gabe Davis, who was the team’s No. 2 wide receiver, Diggs stands out as the sole consistently reliable option in the receiving corps.

Griffin’s perspective aligns with the notion that the Bills still have a viable chance at a Super Bowl victory, and parting ways with Diggs would not enhance their prospects of winning a championship.
