Stefon Diggs seems to find himself in the spotlight once again, fueling speculation about his satisfaction with his situation in Buffalo. The latest episode of the ongoing Diggs saga unfolded when Robert Griffin III released a video discussing the symbiotic relationship between Diggs and his Bills quarterback, Josh Allen.

A fan’s tweet below the video suggested that while Allen benefits from playing with a top receiver like Diggs, Diggs isn’t “essential” to Allen’s success. Diggs responded with a simple “You sure?”—prompting further scrutiny.

At his peak, Diggs has been among the NFL’s premier receivers, demonstrated by his impressive performance in 2020, his first year in Buffalo, where he led the league in receptions and receiving yards. This stellar play earned him four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and his sole All-Pro recognition to date.

However, at over 30 years old, Diggs’s productivity has dipped slightly, despite Allen’s strong performances. While various factors could contribute to this statistical downturn, Diggs doesn’t seem inclined to attribute blame.

For the Buffalo Bills, parting ways with Diggs would pose financial challenges, given the recent guarantee of $18 million in his contract for the current year. Therefore, if the front office decides to move on from Diggs, they’ll need to explore alternative solutions.

As the NFL Draft approaches later this month, all eyes will be on the Bills to see if they pursue a trade involving Diggs or if they work towards resolving any potential issues to maintain the successful partnership between Diggs and Allen for the upcoming season and beyond.
