BREAKING NEWS: Seattle Seahawks Signed Contract With Another Key Star
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Laviska Shenault, the former Colorado receiver, has reached an agreement with the Seattle Seahawks.
Originally a second-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, Shenault showcased his versatility with 1,351 yards gained on 121 receptions and 29 rushing attempts over his first two NFL seasons.
Following a trade to the Carolina Panthers, his playing time decreased, resulting in fewer opportunities. In his two seasons with the Panthers, he recorded just 21 catches for 120 yards and one touchdown, alongside nine kickoff returns for 249 yards.
During his time with the Buffaloes, Shenault displayed his multi-dimensional skills, catching 149 passes and frequently being utilized in the Wildcat formation for short-yardage situations.
Shenault’s dynamic abilities were evident throughout his collegiate career, highlighted by his achievement of scoring rushing and receiving touchdowns in the same game on five occasions, a feat unmatched by any other CU player.
Despite his promising start during the 2018 season, where he garnered Heisman attention until sidelined by a toe injury, Shenault opted to forgo his senior year and enter the NFL Draft.
Nonetheless, he left his mark on Colorado football, finishing his collegiate career ranked eighth in program history for receptions. Selected as the 42nd overall pick by Jacksonville in 2020, Shenault now embarks on a new chapter with the Seattle Seahawks.
