Report: Colts to host LSU WR on Top 30 NFL Draft visit Thursday
According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, the Indianapolis Colts are scheduled to host LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers for a top-30 visit on Thursday.
Nabers is highly regarded as one of the premier wide receiver prospects in the upcoming draft, with many draft analysts projecting him to be selected within the top ten picks. Some even speculate him going as high as No. 6 to the New York Giants.
Should Nabers join the Colts, he would add another dynamic weapon to their offensive arsenal, complementing second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson and head coach Shane Steichen. The Colts already boast a solid receiving corps with players like Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Alec Pierce.
During his college career, Nabers showcased his talent with impressive stats, tallying 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns while maintaining an average of over 17 yards per catch for the Tigers.
Top-30 visits are routine as teams prepare for the draft, allowing organizations like the Colts to conduct thorough evaluations of potential prospects.

However, acquiring Nabers might require the Colts to trade up in the draft. While general manager Chris Ballard hasn’t typically made significant draft jumps for elite prospects, it’s not entirely out of the question given the importance of providing support to their young quarterback. Yet, such a move remains less probable. Despite Nabers’ standing as one of the top receivers in this year’s draft class, trailing only Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr., who’s projected as a top-five pick, it would deviate from the Colts’ usual draft strategy.
