Coach McMahon expressed excitement about Bailey’s addition, highlighting his efficiency on offense, leadership, and defensive prowess. Bailey played a pivotal role for the Spiders in the previous season, starting in 24 out of 33 games and contributing significantly to their success in reaching the NIT. Notably, Bailey’s career field goal percentage of 56.4% ranks him fourth highest in Richmond program history among those with at least 300 field goal attempts.
During his time at the Greenfield School in Wilson, Bailey demonstrated his talent by leading the team to the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Class 1A state title in 2019. He was also recognized with various accolades, including being named NCISAA All-State and a Wilson Times All-Area selection in 2020.
Bailey joins other additions to LSU’s roster, including transfer portal additions Cam Carter from Kansas State and Jordan Sears from UT Martin, as well as high school signees Robert Miller from Pasadena (Texas) Memorial High School and Curtis Givens III from Montverde (Florida) Academy.
