BREAKING NEWS: Broncos sign talented P play
The Broncos have bolstered their roster by signing punter Trenton Gill, as announced on Wednesday. To make room for Gill, the team waived undrafted rookie safety Cam Allen.

Gill, a seventh-round pick by the Bears in 2022, has been Chicago’s punter for the past two seasons. Over 34 games, he has averaged 46.1 yards per punt with a net average of 38.5 yards. Notably, more than 25% of his punts have been downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line during each season.

With Gill’s addition, the Broncos now have two punters on their roster, including veteran Riley Dixon, who rejoined Denver in 2023 and averaged 46.3 yards per punt with a net average of 41.5 yards per punt.
Allen had signed with the Broncos prior to rookie minicamp and participated in their weekend practice sessions.
