The Bills legend seized the opportunity to capitalize on Coleman’s popularity by making a surprise appearance at the league’s Rookie Premier. Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman has been a media darling in his first month with the Buffalo Bills. Having just turned 21 this week, Coleman received a special birthday surprise from Hall of Fame legend Andre Reed at the Rookie Premier in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, Coleman reached out to Reed, expressing his desire to learn from the game’s legends, especially someone who spent his career with the team that drafted Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Reed embraced the task of welcoming the rookie by showing up in a yellow parka and offering Coleman cookies—both nods to Coleman’s first media day in Orchard Park, NY.
Reed also initiated Coleman into the Bills Mafia by gifting him a chain necklace with a plastic chicken wing. In his characteristic style, Coleman checked if it was a real wing before telling Reed that if he wore it, he was keeping it.
