BREAKING NEWS: Five coaches confirms to join Hayes’ USWNT staff
Emma Hayes’ coaching staff for the U.S. women’s national team (USWNT) is beginning to take form.
Chelsea announced this week that five members of Hayes’ Chelsea staff will join her at the USWNT. These include assistant coach Denise Reddy, goalkeeper coach Stuart Searle, head of performance Bart Caubergh, performance analyst Ferdia O’Hanrahan, and opposition analyst Cameron Meighan.
This group will be joined by Twila Kilgore, the USWNT’s former interim head coach, who will return to her role as an assistant.
On Tuesday, Hayes announced her first roster as the USWNT head coach, selecting 23 players for the team’s friendlies against South Korea next month. Her debut as USWNT coach is scheduled for June 1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.
Hayes was named as Vlatko Andonovski’s successor in November but completed the season with Chelsea before taking over the USWNT. Her final game with Chelsea saw the Blues secure their fifth consecutive WSL title.
