JUST IN: Bengals invest over $100 to $120 million for shocking upgrade
CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The Cincinnati Bengals announced plans to invest $100 to $120 million in upgrades to Paycor Stadium, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
The statement detailed that major construction projects will commence and continue through 2026.
The focus will be on enhancing fan experiences, including updated video and audio systems, renovated suites and club lounges, improved concessions, and overall stadium beautification.
“We are fortunate to have a great stadium and are proud to invest in it to make it a best-in-class facility,” said Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn. “We love our fans and can think of no better way to celebrate our 25th season at Paycor Stadium than by announcing these major improvements to enhance the gameday experience.”
Hamilton County, the owner of the stadium, has long requested additional funding from the team and the NFL.
In a statement to FOX19 NOW on Tuesday, Hamilton County Administrator Jeff Aluotto said, “The board’s goal has always been a multi-faceted funding approach to keep the stadium competitive for decades. With this new support from the NFL, we are significantly closer to achieving that goal. We will work with the team as this funding is utilized in preparation for the comprehensive renovation of the stadium.”
The Bengals stated that their plan received unanimous support from NFL owners and the League’s finance committee.
