BREAKING: Ohio State commit to visit conference rival
According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord is set to make an unofficial visit to Oregon this weekend. The Ducks are looking to sway the talented cornerback away from Ohio State.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, Offord hails from Birmingham, Alabama, and committed to the Buckeyes on February 4.
In the class of 2025, Offord is ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect and the No. 3 cornerback. He also holds the title of No. 1 player in Alabama, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
Despite his commitment to Ohio State, Offord remains a target for several top programs, including Auburn, Alabama, and Miami.
If Offord remains committed to the Buckeyes, he will join fellow five-star recruit Devin Sanchez in Columbus. Ohio State’s current defensive back commits also include four-star cornerback DeShawn Stewart and three-star safety Cody Haddad.
Oregon’s coach, Dan Lanning, is still seeking his first cornerback commit for the 2025 class. Although it would be the Ducks’ first five-star cornerback commit in this class, they have already secured a pledge from five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson.
Can Lanning persuade Offord to choose Eugene over Columbus?
