BREAKING NEWS: 26-years old QB star on contract extension
The Dolphins resumed practice Tuesday in Miami Gardens for their mandatory mini-camp.
Present were new team additions, draft picks, and star players.
“Odell Beckham Jr. and Tyreek Hill are like the head honchos of the past era,” said wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. “Playing with them, the kid in me is going to be kind of excited.”
With his rookie contract expiring after this year, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is hopeful for a big contract extension so he can focus entirely on his performance.
“There’s been a lot of progress from where we started,” Tagovailoa noted. “The tough part is, why aren’t we seeing an agreement? It’s business, with both sides trying to meet in the middle.”
However, Tagovailoa’s contract isn’t the only one being discussed.
Rumors suggest that wide receiver Tyreek Hill is seeking a new contract after Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson secured a four-year, $140 million deal.
Despite this, Hill expressed his contentment with playing in South Florida.
“Living here, with the taxes, the weather, everything, it’s beautiful, man,” Hill said. “We love it, and it’s awesome to be here.”
Meanwhile, Waddle recently secured a new three-year, $84.7 million contract.
“Blessings, man, blessings,” Waddle said. “It’s always great to get an extension from the organization that brought you into this league.”
