Jarred Kelenic returns to the lineup today, batting ninth in the game against the Washington Nationals. It appears that Brian Anderson won’t be sharing playing time with Kelenic in one of the corner outfield positions.

The lineup for today’s game against the Nationals mirrors the one that secured a 4-2 victory against the Athletics in the series opener. After today’s game, this lineup will become the Braves’ second most frequently used starting nine of the season.

As for the Nationals, their disregard for capitalization persists.

This marks Eddie Rosario’s debut as a designated hitter this season. Additionally, it’s only the third occasion he’s been placed in the cleanup spot. One of the previous instances was during the Nationals’ 8-4 victory over the Braves in Atlanta, where he notably smashed a barreled double in the first inning.
