BREAKING: Georgia Bulldogs Lands Another 4 star Commitment
The Bulldogs have secured a commitment from a significant defensive line recruit, Christian Garrett from Prince Avenue (Ga.), right in their backyard. Garrett, who had initially planned to announce his commitment on July 20, decided not to wait following his official visit over the weekend and committed to Georgia on Sunday.
“Like I’ve said in every other interview with you, Georgia really speaks for itself, you know? Hometown, they do all the right things, they recruit, they build their guys on- and off-the-field,” Garrett told Dawgs247 last month. “Georgia, they’re really like the X-factor right now. They show that they can build you in the way you want to be built.”

Garrett is the Bulldogs’ 11th commitment in the 2025 class, placing Georgia at No. 8 in the recruiting team rankings and rising quickly. He becomes the second defensive line commit for Georgia, joining Stephon Shivers.

This commitment has been a long time coming. Garrett mentioned that Coach Scott had joked about waiting for his commitment. “Coach Scott’s message has always been that he’s always waiting on me. He knows that I’m a priority. He told me one time, ‘I’m just waiting on go.
I’m sitting on G, waiting on O,'” Garrett said. “That just let me know that I’m a priority for them, and I think they’ve got a good plan for me.”

Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 285 pounds, Garrett chose Georgia over Auburn, Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and others. He is expected to play interior defensive line for Georgia and occasionally move to big defensive end. Garrett ranks as the nation’s No. 23 defensive lineman in the 247Sports recruiting rankings and is the No. 29 overall player in Georgia, at the nearby program head coached by Brock Vandagriff’s father, Greg Vandagriff. Garrett sits inside the Top247 at No. 186 overall.
