JUST IN: Detroit Pistons add another legend as assistant coach
The Detroit Pistons are continuing to revamp their team by bringing on Fred Vinson as an assistant coach under Monty Williams.
Fred Vinson will join Monty Williams’ coaching staff with the Detroit Pistons, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Vinson, known for his expertise in shooting, has previously spent 14 years coaching with the New Orleans Pelicans.
During his tenure with the Pelicans, Vinson worked under Williams from 2010 to 2015. Before his coaching career, Vinson was a player who primarily competed in Europe.
The Pistons, under Williams’ leadership, had a dismal 2023-24 NBA season, ending with only 14 wins and a remarkable 68 losses.
