Les Miles, the former head football coach of LSU, has filed a lawsuit against the university, claiming that their decision to nullify wins has deprived him of the opportunity to be eligible for the College Football Hall of Fame. This legal action was initially reported by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. LSU’s decision to vacate 37 wins during Miles’ tenure as head coach has resulted in his official career record dropping below the required threshold for Hall of Fame consideration. The wins in question, spanning from 2012 to 2015, were invalidated due to NCAA findings regarding improper benefits payments to a former player, Vadal Alexander. Miles, who coached LSU from 2005 to 2016 and secured a national championship with the team in 2007, views this punitive measure as unjust and self-imposed.
