BREAKING: Michigan football projected to land perfect QB key man who is better than J.J. McCarthy
When Notre Dame recruited quarterback Noah Grubbs a few weeks ago, it created an ideal scenario for Michigan football with four-star prospect Brady Hart.
Notre Dame was initially the favorite for Hart, as both programs tend to attract similar athletes — those who aspire to excel in college football while valuing academics.
Hart is an ideal fit for Michigan football. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 190 pounds, he’s a pro-style passer. His name is also a nod to two Michigan legends — Tom Brady and Mike Hart.
Following his visit to Clemson, the Tigers seemed to gain an edge with several expert predictions and a crystal ball favoring them. However, after Hart’s extended visit to Ann Arbor last weekend, Michigan football has emerged as the clear favorite, and there are signs of a potential silent commitment.

In the past few hours, every reputable recruiting expert has made their predictions. Tom Loy of 247 Sports switched his pick from Clemson to Michigan football. Three experts from The Michigan Insider also changed their predictions. EJ Holland of The Wolverine, Josh Henschke of Rivals, and Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong of On3.com have all followed suit.

Michigan football quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell posted #GoBlue on X, suggesting that Hart might have committed to the staff. While this could be optimistic, it seems to be the only explanation for the surge in Michigan projections.
Interestingly, this flurry of activity occurred on the same day that Ohio State extended an offer to Hart. As a 2026 quarterback ranked seventh in his class and 92nd overall, Hart could soon be on board. If Michigan secures him, it will mark the biggest recruiting victory of Sherrone Moore’s young tenure as head coach.
