BREAK: Alabama football land another star commitment
Alabama football secured its third offensive line commitment for the 2025 recruiting class on Tuesday, with tackle prospect Jackson Lloyd announcing his decision following an official visit to Tuscaloosa.
Lloyd, a four-star recruit per the 247Sports composite ratings, plays high school football at Carmel in California.

Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 290 pounds, Jackson Lloyd is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 187 overall player according to the 247Sports composite ratings. Besides football, he also plays basketball and baseball at Carmel High School in California.
“His length is impressive, he moves well, and he’s a physical player,” wrote 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins in his assessment of Lloyd. “He reaches the second level and often takes linebackers and defensive backs off the screen, putting them on their backs. He can dominate high school opponents, though he sometimes plays high and can improve his short-area quickness. However, he has all the physical tools you want to see and plays with a mean streak, going through the whistle.”
Lloyd chose Alabama over offers from Florida, Ohio State, and Michigan State, among others. He was one of the first players offered by new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer after Nick Saban’s departure in January.
Lloyd is Alabama’s 17th commitment in the 2025 class, which also includes Central-Phenix City tackle Mal Waldrep and Pennsylvania interior offensive line prospect Michael Carroll. Currently, Alabama’s class ranks third in the 247Sports composite ratings, behind Ohio State and Notre Dame.
