JUST IN: Top rated key man commits to Ohio State
The Buckeyes have secured another commitment, this time from tight end/H-back Brody Lennon from Gates Mills (Ohio) Gilmour Academy, who has been frequently highlighted by Bucknuts since mid-February.
Lennon attended Ohio State’s camp on June 13, where he received a scholarship offer from Ohio State’s tight ends coach Keenan Bailey. Shortly after, he scheduled an official visit for the weekend of June 21-23 and has now committed to the Buckeyes.
When asked why he chose Ohio State over Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Missouri, Lennon cited the program’s standout features: “The coaches, the players, the environment for sure, all those things set them apart and you see why it’s an elite program. I like how competitive they are at Ohio State. I want to compete at a high level. And it’s close to home, so my family can come see me play.”
Lennon also emphasized the significant role Bailey played in his decision: “Definitely really important. I always liked coach Bailey and he has been my favorite tight end coach since my recruitment. So it was definitely a big factor.”
Lennon believes he will be a good fit in Ryan Day’s offense: “I think it fits me. I’ll be an H-back, split out and have my hand in the dirt too.”
