BREAK: Oklahoma lands top-seven elite superstar
The Oklahoma Sooners recently received positive news on the recruiting front. Maxwell Riley has included them in his top seven schools at this stage of his recruitment. Alongside Oklahoma, Riley’s list features Ohio State, Alabama, Florida State, Clemson, Missouri, and Michigan State. He narrowed his choices from a pool of 26 offers to these seven contenders, all vying for one of the top linemen in the country.
The 247Sports Composite Player Rankings place Riley as the 57th overall recruit in the 2026 class. He is rated as a top-10 offensive tackle nationally and a top-two player in Ohio. The 247Sports Network’s own rankings rate Riley even higher, listing him as the 35th overall recruit, a top-six offensive tackle in the country, and the top player in Ohio. Standing at 6-foot-5 and around 265 pounds, Riley has a highly projectable frame and standout talent.
Riley has not set a decision date or timeline yet. Currently, there is one 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction for Riley’s recruitment, favoring the Ohio State Buckeyes with a confidence level of six out of 10.
It is still early in Riley’s recruitment process. He has taken some visits recently and is expected to continue exploring his options. As he focuses on these seven programs, the schools involved are likely to intensify their efforts to secure one of the nation’s best recruits.
