REPORT: Top Running Back Target Names FSU Football In Final Four
The Seminoles are among the final contenders for a coveted running back target. As rising seniors across the country gear up for the upcoming high school football season, many are making their college decisions.
Florida State is in the hunt for several highly-regarded recruits and has gained momentum on the recruiting trail recently. On Wednesday evening, four-star running back Ousmane Kromah announced his final four schools after visiting several contenders in June. The Seminoles made the cut alongside Georgia, Tennessee, and Auburn.
Kromah visited Tallahassee for the Garnet & Gold Spring Showcase in April and returned for his official visit last month. He concluded June in Athens, suggesting that the Bulldogs might have an edge in his recruitment. Kromah has not yet set a specific commitment date.
The Georgia native had an impressive junior season, rushing 182 times for 1,783 yards and 20 touchdowns, while also catching 31 passes for 522 yards and nine more scores. He played a key role in guiding Lee County High School to a playoff run.
Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 200 pounds, Kromah is ranked as the No. 80 overall prospect, the No. 5 running back, and the No. 11 recruit in Georgia for the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
Florida State currently has nine verbal commitments for its 2025 class, which is ranked No. 37 in the country. The Seminoles are also actively pursuing four-star running back Byron Louis, who is considering FSU, Miami, and Wisconsin.
