With Alai Kalaniuvalu’s verbal commitment to the Oregon Ducks football recruiting class for 2025, the team has secured one of the top-rated prospects in its history at his position.
Kalaniuvalu is ranked as the No. 9 interior offensive lineman in the nation for the 2025 class and is overall ranked No. 176. His 247Sports player rating of 91 places him as the ninth-highest-rated prospect to commit to the Ducks among all offensive linemen. Among interior offensive linemen, Kalaniuvalu is the second-highest-rated prospect in Oregon’s history, only behind Penei Sewell, who was rated 96 as a guard but later moved to offensive tackle.

Kalaniuvalu outranks former Duck and NFL rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson, current offensive lineman Dave Iuli, and recently graduated three-year starter Steven Jones.
This week, the Ducks secured the commitment of the Las Vegas prospect over competing offers from Michigan, Utah, USC, and Nebraska.
247Sports’ Greg Biggins recently provided a scouting report on Kalaniuvalu, offering insights into the position he is likely to play for the Ducks.
