BREAKING: Miami football confirms another major highly rated star commits
Four-star wide receiver from Phenix City, Central, has committed to the Miami football program for the 2025 class. He chose Miami over Central Florida and Florida after official visits in June. Upshaw, ranked 387th overall, 59th among wide receivers, and 18th in Alabama by the 247Sports composite rankings, brings impressive stats with 89 receptions, 1,627 yards, and 18 touchdowns over his last two seasons.
He played alongside 2024 five-star Auburn signee Cam Coleman and had a standout 2023 season with 59 receptions for 1,185 yards and 15 touchdowns according to Max Preps.

Upshaw is the 18th commitment in Miami’s 2025 class, marking the 10th offensive recruit and 14th blue-chip prospect. Miami’s WR coach Kevin Beard was instrumental in recruiting him.
The Hurricanes have commitments from every offensive position and are expecting more recruits in the coming weeks, including several highly touted prospects considering Miami.
