Alabama quarterback lands huge NIL agreement with automotive company
Ty Simpson, a third-year player, has signed a multi-year NIL deal with Harbin Motors, a new Ford and Chevrolet dealership in Northwest Alabama. Announcing the partnership on Instagram Monday, Simpson revealed he will receive a new Ford or Chevrolet truck every few months in return for promoting Harbin Motors.
Simpson, a former five-star recruit from Alabama’s 2022 class, completed 11 of 20 passes for 179 yards in 2023. He also scored a rushing touchdown, contributing to the Crimson Tide’s victory over Georgia, securing the Southeastern Conference Championship, and advancing to the College Football Playoff.
A native of Martin, Tennessee, Simpson had an impressive spring and is currently the immediate backup to quarterback Jalen Milroe. He aims to help Kalen DeBoer win titles in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
