DEAL DONE: Wild Sign Restricted Free Agents contracts league deals.
Summer is here, but the Minnesota Wild are finalizing their last offseason moves before taking a break to enjoy some time by the lake and a few weeks away from hockey.
In the past week, the Wild have re-signed three of their restricted free agents for the upcoming season.
Defenseman Declan Chisholm has secured a one-year, $1-million contract, solidifying his spot as a bottom-pairing defenseman and adding some youth to the blue line alongside Brock Faber. Additionally, the Wild have signed Sammy Walker and Adam Raska to similar one-year, two-way deals. Both contracts come with a league-minimum NHL salary of $775,000, differing only in their minor-league salaries—$97,500 for Raska and $125,000 for Walker.
With these signings complete, the only task left for general manager Bill Guerin this summer (barring any trades) is to finalize a new deal for the lone remaining restricted free agent, Graeme Clarke.
