DONE: Georgia land another huge commitment from the transfer portal with credits Bulldogs greatness
Todd Robinson still finds it hard to believe how rapidly his recruitment evolved. The Valdosta (Ga.) quarterback had no major offers by the end of 2023, but that changed significantly when Josh Crawford transitioned from Georgia Tech to Georgia. This move prompted the Bulldogs, along with other top-tier programs, to pursue Robinson.
It was clear that Georgia was the front-runner, and they were determined to secure his commitment. Robinson expressed that his first month as a Georgia commit exceeded his expectations.
“It feels great. The love from Georgia has remained strong. Everything else has stayed the same,” Robinson shared with Dawgs247. “The support from Georgia fans has been fantastic.”
Alabama was the only other school given a serious chance to recruit Robinson. He visited Tuscaloosa officially a week before his visit to Athens. Within 24 hours of leaving Athens, he committed to the Bulldogs.
Robinson’s commitment to Georgia is rooted in a strong sense of belonging. “It just feels like home. The environment, the people in the facility, it all feels like Georgia,” he said. “Their success on the field is largely due to the people in the facility.”
Recently, more defensive backs have joined Robinson, including Shamari Earls, Jaylan Morgan, and Rashad Johnson. Robinson is getting to know his new teammates, with the Class of 2025 group chat growing to 20 members, helping him feel more integrated.
Robinson has had multiple workouts with Travaris Robinson on campus and communicates regularly with the coaching staff. “I talk to the coaches daily and weekly. The message is consistent—keep working. They know I’m committed, so they don’t need to remind me much,” Robinson said. “They always check in to make sure I’m doing well.”
While he has no immediate plans to return to Georgia, Robinson has discussed with the coaches about attending the end-of-summer cookout and early-season opportunities at Sanford Stadium.
