The Alabama Crimson Tide coaching staff has extended an offer to Jett Washington, a highly touted 2026 four-star athlete from Bishop Gorman High School. Washington, the nephew of NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, is regarded as one of the top dual-sport athletes in his class, excelling in both football and basketball.

Washington’s impressive junior football season included 37 tackles and two interceptions. While he is often listed as an athlete by recruiting sites, he is expected to play safety at the college level. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 200 pounds, Washington’s versatility on the field is noteworthy.

Greg Biggins, a recruiting analyst from 247Sports, praised Washington’s skill set and potential. Biggins highlighted Washington’s success in both football and basketball, noting his significant role in leading Bishop Gorman to a state title in basketball.

On the football field, Washington has demonstrated his ability to play various positions, including safety, receiver, linebacker, and potentially edge rusher, depending on his physical development. Biggins emphasized Washington’s physicality, route-running ability, strong hands, and playmaking skills, indicating that he has a high ceiling regardless of his eventual position.
