BREAKING: Alabama Confirms Another 5 star commitment Over Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State
On Wednesday, Alabama football secured an in-state commitment for the class of 2027 as they kicked off preseason camp for the 2024 season. Jabarrius Garror, an edge rusher from Vigor, announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide ahead of his sophomore year.
Garror revealed his decision on social media, in collaboration with Hayes Fawcett of On3. He selected Alabama over offers from Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, and Colorado, among others. Standing at 6-foot-2.5 and weighing 215 pounds, Garror concluded the 2023 season with 36 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and seven tackles for loss, despite missing the first five games of the season.
At this stage, class rankings are not yet fully developed, with most services not providing a ranked list. Alabama now has two recruits for the 2027 class.
The first commitment came on Tuesday from another in-state player, Moody’s edge rusher Ba’Roc Willis, just before Kalen DeBoer’s first preseason camp began.
DeBoer’s current recruiting efforts, focusing on the class of 2024, have the Tide ranked second on the 247Sports composite, behind Ohio State. During SEC Media Days earlier in July, DeBoer credited his staff for his early recruiting success.
“I knew it was important for me to put the right people around me,” DeBoer stated. “While I can emphasize relationships and getting to know the players to make them feel like this is the program they want to join, I understand that regional familiarity is also crucial.”
