BREAKING: Texas Longhorns Confirms Commits for Another Highly Rated Star Over two other programs
August is shaping up to be significant for recruiting, with several recruits set to announce their college decisions just before their senior seasons. Adding to the list, three-star defensive back Nathan Tilmon from Mansfield (TX) Timberview has announced he will make his commitment on August 10th.
Tilmon is choosing between TCU, Texas, and Utah. He was previously committed to SMU but decommitted last month following official visits to Austin and Salt Lake City. His final three schools, announced last month, remain the same heading into decision day.

Texas has already flipped one player from SMU this cycle, landing running back Rickey Stewart earlier.
They are now in a position to potentially flip another in Tilmon but will need to fend off two Big 12 teams (a still unusual concept for Utah) in the process.

With a little over a week until Tilmon’s decision, 247Sports has already predicted the Longhorns as the favorites. We’ll see if that prediction holds on August 10th.
