Breaking: Highly rated defensive tackle confirms commits to LSU Over California, Arkansas, TCU and others
Three-star defensive tackle Dilan Battle committed to LSU on Monday, adding depth to a position of need for the Tigers in the 2025 recruiting class.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and 315 pounds, Battle is ranked as the nation’s No. 597 prospect by the 247Sports composite. He hails from Arlington, Texas.
LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis now has commitments from three interior defensive linemen in this class: Battle, along with four-star recruits Brandon Brown and Zion Williams.
Battle chose LSU over programs like California, Arkansas, TCU, and others. With his commitment, LSU now has 22 players in what is currently the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class. Battle is the 11th defensive player to join the group, and the Tigers have secured seven commitments in the past month.
Defensive tackle is a key need in this class, and Davis is working to ensure LSU doesn’t have to rely on the transfer portal for starters at the position in the future.
