COMMITMENT: Georgia land super summer commitments
Some of you might have been wondering back in mid-May: Why hasn’t Georgia landed any defensive back commits yet?
It was just a matter of time.
As pre-summer recruiting jitters set in, concerns began to surface about the offseason departures of Will Muschamp and Fran Brown. But then, right on cue, the relationships built by Travaris Robinson and Donte Williams started to pay off — quickly.
Since the beginning of June, the Bulldogs have secured commitments from seven defensive backs across the 2025 and 2026 classes.
Several of these recruits visited campus at the end of July, beginning to form connections with each other.
“It was really all the DBs. Shamari and Jaylan. Jonate was up there too, so we were all just hanging out together. It was really just having fun. There wasn’t too much talk about ball really. We were just having fun, getting to know each other,” safety commit Todd Robinson told Dawgs247. “We did some slip-n-slide. We did different relay races, different competitions, all that stuff. It was just the family environment they had there. It was a connection. It’s a brotherhood. That’s really what it is at Georgia.”
In this article, we take a closer look at each of those seven defensive back commits and their paths to choosing Georgia.
