Just In: Boston Bruins Invite Two High Talented Prospects to Rookie Camp
With Boston Bruins Rookie Camp starting on September 11, General Manager Don Sweeney has added 18-year-old goaltender Keegan Warren to the invite list. Warren, from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador, played for the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL last season, posting a 13-6-1 record with a 3.19 GAA and .899 save percentage. Drafted in the 14th round, 242nd overall, by Moncton in 2021, Warren is noted for his unassuming style, strong puck tracking, and rebound control, according to Elite Prospects.
The Bruins’ goalie depth is solid, with Brandon Bussi, Michael DiPietro, and Ryan Bischel on one-year contracts with the Providence Bruins, and Philip Svedeback entering his junior season at Providence College.
Markus Vidicek, Warren’s Moncton teammate and a 20-year-old center from Montreal, is also expected at camp. Vidicek scored 45 goals and 43 assists for Halifax in the QMJHL last season and is entering his fifth league season. Elite Prospects noted his advanced playmaking skills and support play, highlighting his ability to build plays and make intelligent reads.
