JUST IN: Caitlin Clark sets another unbelievable WNBA record
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark showed no signs of rust following the WNBA’s extended Olympic break. On Friday, she led her team to a 98-89 victory over the Phoenix Mercury at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 22-year-old guard scored 29 points on 8-of-16 shooting, just one point shy of her career high, and added 10 assists. Clark also made history by becoming the first player in WNBA history to accumulate at least 50 points and 25 assists over a two-game span. She had previously recorded 24 points and 19 assists in a 101-93 loss to the Dallas Wings before the break.

Clark has truly emerged as a standout playmaker recently. After going her first 17 games without recording 10 or more assists, she has reached double-digit assists in 8 of her last 10 outings. During this stretch, she’s averaged 19.8 points and 11.7 assists per game.
It’s no wonder Fever fans are eager to get her autograph on anything they can find.
